VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts at several California warehouses have added chicken strips to the menu, with the new $6.99 order including five pieces and sauce, according to store menu signs and employees at the locations.

Workers at warehouses in Alhambra, Los Feliz and on Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield said the item appeared July 11. A Santa Rosa employee said it arrived July 6, and a Concord worker said it had been available for a few days by July 15.

Menu signs list the order at 1,130 to 1,640 calories. At the California stores checked, the chicken strips have replaced the calzone, according to the signs and employees.

Victorville is among the California locations serving the item, with the food court at Costco’s warehouse at 14555 Valley Center Drive listing five chicken strips and sauce for $6.99.
